In this paper, a non-isolated multi-port zero-voltage-switching bidirectional dc-dc converter is proposed. Free ripple condition of input currents is obtained by using coupled inductors in any stages. Proposed converter is analyzed as a five port converter. It is possible to increase number of input sources up to
as a kind of
port converter. The proposed converter can be used in both boost and buck operating moods. It can solve the drawbacks of conventional multi-port converters such as hard switching and large ripple of input currents. At end it is used for extracting maximum power of a photovoltaic module in presence of step variation of solar irradiance. Finally, the accuracy of zero valtage switching performance of the proposed converter in a photovoltaic system is verified thruogh the simulation results in PSCAD/EMTDC software.
