Abstract:   (1325 Views)
In this study, the scattering of electromagnetic wave from a truncated semicircular slot located in an infinite conductor plane is investigated. First, the analyzed region is divided into two parts by an auxiliary semicircle. In each region, the tangential electric and magnetic fields are expanded based on Bessel wave functions. By applying the boundary conditions, three independent equations are extracted. By converting the equations into a linear equations system and solving it, the expansion coefficients are calculated and consequently the scattered fields can be computed. The obtained results are validated with the results of MoM. The effects of the slot shape and the incident wave angle on the scattering signature are studied.
