The use of rotating vectors in the matrix converter naturally causes the value of the common mode voltage to zero, and this is the reason why they have gained special importance. Using these vectors alone, in addition to complexity, increases torque ripple and current harmonics in direct torque control. To solve this problem, virtual vectors are used, but using virtual vectors alone will increase the switching frequency. Therefore, in our proposed method, we will use both rotating vectors and virtual vectors. In this method, the virtual vectors are placed in line with the active vectors, and the rotating vectors rotate clockwise and counterclockwise alternately in the coordinate plane. The set of these vectors can be uniformly distributed in the coordinate plane. Therefore, the use of both types of rotating and virtual vectors will reduce the switching frequency in addition to reducing torque ripple and current harmonics. The simulation results show the efficiency of this method.
