Abstract:   (532 Views)
In this paper, a non-isolated boost converter with high voltage gain is introduced, which achieves significant voltage gain at low duty cycle by utilizing only one power switch, resonant capacitor, three-winding coupled inductor, and voltage multiplier circuits. The design of this converter is simplified due to the use of an active switch, resulting in a reduced overall cost. Furthermore, the use of an inductor in the input path causes continuity of the input current. The proposed structure not only increases the output voltage, but also reduces the voltage stress applied to the circuit components. To recover the energy from the leakage inductance of the coupling inductor and further reduce the voltage stress on the switch, a capacitor is used to limit the voltage during periods that the switch is not conducting. The use of resonance technique in this converter has led to increased efficiency compared to other high-gain boost converters. In this study, the principles of converter operation are also comprehensively analyzed and equations related to voltage gain and stress of semiconductor components under steady-state and continuous conduction operating modes (CCM) are presented. The simulation results for the converter performance with specifications of 25V/380V/200W have been evaluated and verified.
