Today, Microgrids are considered important components of the power system, with increased opportunities for their use in smart grids. These systems can operate independently or in grid-connected mode, producing and locally storing energy to meet the needs of their consumers. Numerous studies have been conducted on the operation of microgrids, proving their effectiveness. However, in the area of design and especially the groundwork for their establishment, considering technical, social, economic, and other considerations, there is significant scope for examination and research. This paper aims to address the redesign and topology change of the system to transform traditional electrical networks into modern microgrid structures while maintaining the maximum integrity of the traditional network and making minimal necessary changes. Therefore, objectives are defined to ensure the optimal functioning of the microgrid, followed by the exploration of the problem space using three algorithms: Firefly Algorithm, Grey Wolf Optimization, and Particle Swarm Optimization, combined with a Fuzzy Algorithm. The results of this model, along with the simulations performed, demonstrate the high accuracy of the algorithm.
